Jeep Wrangler maintenance schedules

Wrangler coverage crosses the JK to JL handover, including 2018, the odd year when both sold new. JK trucks run the Pentastar on 5W-20 with a 6-speed manual or 5-speed automatic; JL trucks drop to 0W-20 and five quarts, add the 2.0L turbo option, and pick up an 8-speed and a cabin filter.

On either generation the real schedule is the severe column. Axles, transfer case, and gearbox all carry cheap fluids that off-road use, and especially water, turns into immediate-change items. The yearly steering inspection earns its place on solid-axle trucks.
