What we collect, and what we refuse to

The short version

This site runs privacy-respecting analytics without cookies, stores your calculator inputs on your own device, and collects your email only if you ask for service reminders. It does not run ad-network trackers, does not sell data, and does not want more of it than the service needs.

Analytics

We use Plausible and Vercel analytics to count page views, page speed, and anonymous usage events such as calculator runs and lookup selections. These tools do not use cookies and do not build individual profiles. We use the aggregate numbers to decide which vehicles and guides to build next.

The calculator and your inputs

Vehicle selections, mileage, and service history you enter into the tools are saved in your browser's local storage so your results survive a page reload. That data stays on your device; it is not transmitted to us. Clearing your browser storage removes it.

Email reminders

If you sign up for a service reminder, we store your email address and the vehicle you told us about, and we use them to send the reminders you asked for. Signup is double opt-in, every email includes an unsubscribe link that works, and unsubscribing removes you. We do not share or sell the list.

Outbound links

Links to parts retailers include an affiliate tag so the retailer knows the visit came from here; see the disclosure page. What retailers collect on their own sites is governed by their policies.

To have your email and its associated vehicle removed, use any unsubscribe link or write to hello@carservicedue.com and it will be handled promptly.
