Ford Escape maintenance schedules
Every Escape here is the third generation on the 6F35 automatic, with an engine lineup that rotated mid-run: the 1.6L EcoBoost gave way to the 1.5L in 2017 while the 2.5L base and 2.0L EcoBoost carried through. Two oil specs span the lineup, so the engine matters at the register.
The quiet story is the AWD power transfer unit, sold as sealed but famous for cooked fluid. A 60,000-mile change habit addresses it for pocket change. The 1.6L years also deserve a recall lookup for the well-documented coolant-loss campaigns.
